France wins 2018 FIFA World Cup Football
- France crowned The 21st edition of the 2018 FIFA World Cup champions held in Russia
- France were crowned champions for the second time in history and for the first since they were hosts in 1998 after defeating Croatia 4-2 in what will go down as one of the most thrilling World Cup finals.
- Nineteen-year-old Kylian Mbappe became the second teenager in history to score in a World Cup Final, following in the footsteps of Pele who did so as a 17-year-old in 1958.

Golden Ball Award winner 2018: Luka Modric (Crotia)
- The adidas Golden Ball was won by Croatia's Luka Modric as the competition’s best player. Members of the FIFA Technical Study Group determined the winner at the conclusion of the Final. Belgium's Eden Hazard and France's Antoine Griezmann finished second and third to receive the adidas Silver Ball and adidas Bronze Ball respectively.

Golden Boot Award winner 2018: Harry Kane (England)
- With six goals across six games England captain Harry Kane is the winner of the adidas Golden Boot award for Russia 2018.
- England's Harry Kane finished as the leading goalscorer at the 2018 FIFA World Cup to win the adidas Golden Boot. France's Antoine Griezmann and Belgium's Romelu Lukaku finished second and third respectively.

Golden Glove Award winner 2018: Thibaut Courtois (Belgium)
- Belgium's Thibaut Courtois is the winner of the adidas Golden Glove award for the 2018 FIFA World Cup as decided by the FIFA Technical Study Group.
- Belgium's Thibaut Courtois won the adidas Golden Glove as the tournament’s best goalkeeper, as decided by the FIFA Technical Study Group. Until 2006, the award was called the Yashin Award in honour of the former goalkeeper Lev Yashin.

Young Player Award winner 2018: Kylian Mbappe (France)
- Kylian Mbappe's impact at Russia 2018 has secured the 19-year-old the FIFA Young Player award for the tournament.
- France's Kylian Mbappe won the FIFA Young Player award. The award was created to recognise the impact made by young footballers in the FIFA World Cup. The tournament is constantly being rejuvenated by fresh talent – many of these players are relatively unknown even before the opening ceremony, but emerge as household names after the event.
