  • International Day of Human Space Flight, is the annual celebration, held on April 12, of the anniversary of the first human space flight by Yuri Gagarin. It was proclaimed at the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly on April 7, 2011
  • Yuri Gagarin carried out Vostok 1 space flight in 1961, making one orbit around the Earth over 108 minutes in the Vostok 3KA spacecraft launched by Vostok-K launch vehicle.

மனித விண்வெளி விமான சர்வதேச தினம் - ஏப்ரல் 12
  • 1961, ஏப்ரல் 12, ரஷ்யா விண்வெளி வீரர், யூரி காகரின் (Yuri Gagarin) அவர்கள், Vostok 1 என்ற விண்வெளி விமானத்தின் மூலம் விண்வெளிக்கு வெற்றிகரமாகப் பயணித்த முதல் விண்வெளி வீரராவார். இவற்றின் நினைவாக, ஏப்ரல் 12, மனித விண்வெளி விமான சர்வதேச தினம் (International Day of Human Space Flight) கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. 
  • The General Assembly, in its resolution declared 12 April as the International Day of Human Space Flight “to celebrate each year at the international level the beginning of the space era for mankind, reaffirming the important contribution of space science and technology in achieving sustainable development goals and increasing the well-being of States and peoples, as well as ensuring the realization of their aspiration to maintain outer space for peaceful purposes.”
