World Meteorological Day - 23 March 2018

• The United Nations World Meteorological Day is celebrated every year on 23 March to commemorate the entry into force in 1950 of the convention that created the World Meteorological Organization. The day also highlights the contribution that National Meteorological and Hydrological Services make to the safety and well-being of society. 

• 2018 World Meteorological Day Theme is "Weather-Ready, Climate-Smart"  

உலக வானியல் தினம் - மார்ச் 23

• ஆண்டுதோறும் மார்ச் 23 அன்று, உலக வானியல் தினம் (World Meteorological Day) கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. 

• 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான உலக வானியல் தின கருப்பொருள் "வானிலைக்கான அணியம், காலநிலைத் தொடக்கம் (Weather-ready, climate-smart)" என்பதாகும்.

World Tuberculosis Day 24 March 2018

• Each year we commemorate World TB Day on March 24 to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of tuberculosis (TB) and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic. 

• The date marks the day in 1882 when Dr. Robert Koch announced that he had discovered the bacterium that causes TB, which opened the way towards diagnosing and curing this disease.

• The World Tuberculosis Day theme: "Wanted: Leaders for a TB-free world" 24 March 2018

உலக காசநோய் தினம் - மார்ச் 23

• ஆண்டுதோறும் மார்ச் 24 அன்று, உலக காசநோய் தினம் (World Tuberculosis Day) கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. 

• 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான உலக காசநோய் தின கருப்பொருள் "தேவை: காசநோய் இல்லா ஓர் உலகிற்கான தலைவர்கள் (Wanted: Leaders for a TB-free world)" என்பதாகும்.

International Day for the Right to the Truth concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims - March 24, 2018

• Each year, on 24 March, the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims is observed.

• This annual observance pays tribute to the memory of Monsignor Óscar Arnulfo Romero, who was murdered on 24 March 1980. Monsignor Romero was actively engaged in denouncing violations of the human rights of the most vulnerable individuals in El Salvador.
