ஆகஸ்டு 19 - உலக மனிதநேய தினம்
- உலக மனிதநேய தினம் (World Humanitarian Day) , ஆண்டுதோறும் ஆகஸ்டு 19 அன்று கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
- 2003 ஆகஸ்டு 19-ந்தேதி ஈராக் நாட்டு பாக்தாத் நகரில், பிரேசில் நாட்டைச்சார்ந்த ஐக்கிய நாடு அவை சிறப்பு பிரதிநிதி "செர்சியோவெய்ரா டீமெல்லோ" மற்றும் ஐ. நா. அவை ஊழியர்கள் குண்டு வெடிப்பில் கொல்லப்பட்டனர்.
- இதன் நினைவாக ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் அவை 2008 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஆகஸ்டு 19-ந்தேதியை "உலக மனிதநேய தினமாக" அறிவித்தது.2019 ஆண்டு உலக மனிதநேய தின மையக்கருத்து: 'Women Humanitarians' என்பதாகும்.

World Humanitarian Day 19 August 2019
- World Humanitarian Day (WHD) is held every year on 19 August to pay tribute to aid workers who risk their lives in humanitarian service, and to rally support for people affected by crises around the world.
- On World Humanitarian Day 2019 we honour the work of women in crises throughout the world.
- This year will focus on the unsung heroes, who have long been working on the front lines in their own communities in some of the most difficult terrains, from the war-wounded in Afghanistan, to the food insecure in the Sahel, to those who have lost their homes and livelihoods in places such as Central African Republic, South Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
