World Bee Day May 20, 2018
To raise awareness of the importance of pollinators, the threats they face and their contribution to sustainable development, the UN designated 20 May as World Bee Day.
20 May coincides with the birthday of Anton Janša, who in the 18th century pioneered modern beekeeping techniques in his native Slovenia and praised the bees for their ability to work so hard, while needing so little attention.
உலக தேனீ தினம் - மே 20
ஐ.நா. அமைப்பின் சார்பில் ஆண்டுதோறும், மே 20 உலக தேனீ தினம் (World Bee Day) கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. தேனீக்கள் மற்றும் மகரந்த சேர்க்கை பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை இந்த நாள் ஏற்படுத்துகிறது.
அன்டன் ஜான்சா: 18 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் ஸ்லோவேனியாவில் மே 18 அன்று பிறந்த நவீன தேனீ வளர்ப்பு நுட்பங்களை முன்னோடி "அன்டன் ஜான்சா" அவர்களின் பிறந்தநாளின் நினைவாக உலக தேனீ தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
