The list of candidates called for Certificate Verification in the ratio 1:1 is also published herewith, reserving 4% of posts for persons with Disability as per the interim order passed by Hon’ble High Court of Madras in WP.No.13350 of 2017.

Board proposes to conduct Certificate Verification on 28.08.2017 and 29.08.2017. Certificate Verification venue and individual call letter will be uploaded in the TRB website soon.

DIRECT RECRUITMENT OF POST GRADUATE ASSISTANTS / PHYSICAL EDUCATION DIRECTOR GRADE-I - 2016-17

Teachers Recruitment Board had already issued Notification for the Direct Recruitment of Post Graduate Assistants for the year 2016-17 vide Notification No.03/2017 dated 09.05.2017. Now, based on the G.O. (Ms) No.142, School Education 2(1) Department, Dated 29.06.2017, G.O. (Ms) No.144, School Education 2(1) Department, Dated 29.06.2017 and the communication of the Director of School Education, 1712 additional vacancies in the Department of School Education are also added and totally for 3375 vacancies are hereby notified. These 1712 vacancies are also considered for the selection process along with the 1663 vacancies already notified vide the above said notification.

Qualifications:

a) Age Limit :

Candidates should not be over 57 years as on 1-7-2017 as the age of superannuation is 58 years.

Educational Qualifications:

Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. Degree

Examination fee:

a. The candidates have to pay a fees of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST and differently abled candidates) towards examination fee payable only through online net banking /credit card / debit card.

b. The candidates have also to pay the service charges as applicable for online payment.

c. Off line mode of payment in the form of Demand Draft / Postal Order etc. will not be accepted and the applications forwarded with such modes of payments will be summarily rejected.

d. The application process is entirely online. No application in paper will be accepted by TRB.

1. Candidates should apply only through online mode in the TRB website trb.tn.nic.in using the link https://trbonlineexams.in

2. Evidence for claims made by the candidate while applying online should be submitted by the candidate at the time of Certificate Verification, if called for.

Scheme of Examination:

i )The written examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs. Each question carries one mark. The marks allotted to the Main Subject, Educational Methodology and General Knowledge are as follows:

Selection Procedure:

The Selection will be made in two successive stages viz., 1) Written examination 2) Awarding weightage marks during Certificate Verification.

Written Examination:

The Written Competitive Examination will be held on 02.07.2017 from 10.00 A.M to 1.00 P.M. The venue for the Examination will be intimated in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Tickets for the eligible candidates will be uploaded by the TRB in its official website. The candidates are advised to refer the TRB website for details (http://www.trb.tn.nic.in). No written communication will be sent to the candidate.
