‘Post-Truth’ is Word of The Year 2016 by Oxford Dictionaries
2016-ம் ஆண்டின் சிறந்த வார்த்தை "Post-Truth"
- உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற ஆக்ஸ்போர்ட் அகராதி 2016-ம் ஆண்டின் சிறந்த வார்த்தையாக Post-Truth என்னும் வார்த்தையை தேர்ந்தெடுத்துள்ளது.
- கடந்த 11 வருடங்களாக அந்தந்த ஆண்டின் சிறந்த வார்த்தையை ஆக்ஸ்போர்ட் அகராதி வெளியிட்டு வருகிறது. அந்த வகையில் இந்த ஆண்டின் சர்வதேச வார்த்தையாக post-truth என்னும் வார்த்தையை தேர்ந்தெடுத்துள்ளதாக செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. “பொது கருத்து என்பது உண்மைகளை கடந்தும் தனிப்பட்ட உணர்வுகள் மற்றும் நம்பிக்கைகளை சார்ந்து உருவாக்குவதில் அங்கம் வகிப்பது" என இந்த வார்த்தைக்கு ஆக்ஸ்போர்ட் அகராதி விளக்கம் கொடுத்துள்ளது.

'Post-truth' named 2016 word of the year by Oxford Dictionaries
- Oxford Dictionaries has selected "post-truth" as 2016's international word of the year. The dictionary defines "post-truth" as "relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief."
- "Post-truth" was selected after Oxford's dictionary editors noted a roughly 2,000 percent increase in its usage over 2015 - it was appearing with far more frequency in news articles and on social media in both the United Kingdom and the United States. The runners-up for words of the year included the British term "Brexiteer" used for anti-EU advocates.
